HELIUM LEAK DETECTION FIELD SUPERVISOR
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Field Job Scope
• Conduct pressure and vacuum inspections on turbine/condenser
vacuum systems, condenser tubes, and pressure inspections on electrical
generator hydrogen systems. Also, pressure testing of pipeline at pharmaceutical
and manufacturing facilities. All inspections utilize helium as a tracer
gas to identify the sources of leakage.
• Interpret the results of each inspection so they can be translated
to the customer verbally and in the rough and final reports.
• Establish good customer relations by presenting yourself in
a professional manner.
• Ensure the inspection is set up with the proper material (i.e.
helium, coppus blower, etc.) prior to arrival.
• Arrange for mobilization and demobilization travel.
Shop Job Scope
• Maintain leak detection equipment in proper operating condition.
• Generate the final report for the customer. The report should
include leak list, photographs, chart recording, and any other pertinent
information.
• Complete all expense reports with receipts to ensure timely
billing.
• Remain current on industry events and how they pertain to our
business.
• Conduct follow-up phone conversations with past, future and
potentially new customers.
General Responsibilities
• As most of our business requires an emergency response you must
be available 24-hours a day unless otherwise agreed upon in writing.
We will provide as much notice as possible before a job, but in most
situations we have less than six hours to begin travel to our destination.
Our immediate response to our customers needs will gain us the trust
of our customers and their respect. This aspect of our service will prove
to be the most valuable part of our service and be the most demanding
of our employees.
Other responsibilities will include supporting CONDENSER EFFICIENCY
SERVICES in all other job scopes in the shop and field when required.
