CompanyAmerican Efficiency Services, LLC is entering its third year of operation under the current ownership. The linage of the company traces back to being a division of a larger company for more than two years prior to the current ownership. Starting with a vision, that helium leak detection is the most accurate and comprehensive way to find leaks in systems under positive and negative pressure, a methodology has been developed to find all of the leaks within a system. We have found that a complete condenser air inleakage inspection yearly on each unit, preferably just prior to a scheduled outage, becomes part of a preventive maintenance program and reduces the number of emergency leak situations experienced by plants. In practice, we have found that identifying all of the leaks (even the very small ones) in a system gives the plant a “heads up” on spotting the next potential trouble spot. AES developed a reporting system for inspection findings that is comprehensive, aids in repairs and provides a record of potential patterns of failure for more extensive maintenance. Our definitive leak tags, clear close up pictures of positioning of leaks and our knowledge of systems developed over years of inspections in hundreds of plants has made American Efficiency Services the company called when you want a “complete inspection” AES took experience gained in the power generation industry and applied it to inspecting systems used to produce Ethanol additives for gasoline, food processing systems, systems used to produce pharmaceutical products and other specialized applications of pressure and vacuum. The Company has developed a comprehensive program taking new employees on and training them in the setting up and use of equipment for inspections. The program requires a study of systems and how they work, how the components fit in the picture, system weak points and AES inspection methodology. Personnel are tested on their knowledge in these areas in class as well as practically on site. The final piece is training on communicating with plant personnel to accomplish the inspection , deliver the results and how to complete the written report. Only when our personnel have passed all of the tests and have the required knowledge of system operation can they be considered for a Project Manager position. Attention to detail, listening to the needs of plant operators and answering multiple emergency calls have won the trust of plants across North and South America. AES has grown in profitability, sales and personnel each year since being founded. |
